Leslie H. Graf
My sense of self has always been defined as being an artist.
My early works, represented here by the pen & ink drawings, were realistic images of many different subjects, done in several different mediums but predominantly in water color and pen & ink.
I cannot explain the switch to the next phase in my work, which produced larger, stylized, imagined landscapes done in acrylic on canvas.
While the style was completely different, some of the pen & ink techniques, such as the painstaking stippling, were carried over.
After a period of time I returned to the more realistic style, working small landscapes, primarily in acrylic on paper, the style and technique which continues today.
